Hello! I’m Deb

Clinical Nurse Specialist | NDIS Specialist PBS Practitioner

I’m a Clinical Nurse Specialist with more than 35 years of experience in mental health, developmental and intellectual disabilities. I trained in England and have spent my career working across public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Australia — establishing and managing services for children, mental health, intellectual disability and forensic populations.

I offer telehealth sessions from anywhere in Australia. My practice is warm, evidence-based and built around the individual in front of me.

My Approach

With more than 35 years in mental health and disability, I bring a depth of clinical experience that is rare in private practice — combined with genuine warmth and a commitment to meeting people where they actually are.

My practice is holistic, collaborative and evidence-based. I draw from a broad range of therapeutic modalities — including CBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, strengths-based practice, psychoeducation and somatic approaches — and I tailor everything to the individual in front of me. No two people are the same, and no two treatment plans should be either.

I work across the lifespan — with children, adolescents, adults and older adults — and I have particular expertise in complex, co-occurring presentations where multiple needs intersect.

Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis, supporting a family member, working through trauma, or seeking specialist NDIS support — I offer a space that is safe, inclusive and genuinely focused on progress that matters to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes — all sessions are delivered via telehealth. You can connect via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime or phone call. This means you can access support from anywhere in Australia, from the comfort of your own home.

What do I need for my first session?

Just a quiet space, a device with a camera or phone, and a willingness to talk. Your first session typically runs for one hour. I’ll guide you through an initial assessment or information-gathering conversation so we both have a clear picture of where to start.

How do I know which service is right for me?

That’s exactly what the free initial consultation is for. Book a call and we’ll talk through your situation — I’ll give you an honest picture of how I can help, and if another pathway is a better fit, I’ll tell you that too.

Do you work with children and families?

Yes. I work across the lifespan — with children, adolescents, adults and older adults. I also work closely with families and support teams, particularly in the context of Specialist Positive Behaviour Support.
